for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......) w/ r6 n: I" R* f, v% @

! ~& i) @& Y6 v  l2 ifor the extended interview:6 F2 U' I1 Y9 t, q& f7 q3 _4 V
* H  q1 t3 e* b  N6 f7 v2 S
it's divided into 2 sections,
- _; X0 p8 U2 d3 d1 is impromptu talk
/ r0 e) }) r/ O: S/ T4 Z5 Fanother is group discusion
4 j6 @; P% ~! ~' ?3 @$ w3 p% g( }' J
all conducted in english& x% ]+ e/ w, V; v

* o# I8 s1 ~6 N  a. [3 A3 |* K. \impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

6 f1 D+ X' l2 p) t% sgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion7 l* G% g4 I( J: G6 J

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
