Use filter to filter emails from your friends to another folder,
then scan through others once before deleting.
Once you start receiving spam emails, no methods to stop them...
You can just use another address or better managing your email.
My additional advice:
Do not use any emails that cost you additional money for additional
storage size (the automatic one).

Yeah. Also I'm getting ~25-100 spams a day, but they're all filtered out. I'm getting that much because:
1. one time, my friend sent me an E-card from a website, and she just signed me up to spam list.
2. My email addresses was put on some websites (for business purpose). Anyways, spammers can run through the WWW and pick up email addresses.
A good way to post email addresses on a website is to type it up in GIMP or Photoshop and save it as a .jpeg file, and then put the picture onto the website.
