有菲律賓網民,留下以下的留言:「In behalf of my fellow Filipinos, I would like to say to the Chinese people especially HongKong that we very much regret what happened. We have a police organization that has a very long way to go in terms of overall development. Any help to improve our country would be very much welcome. There's no apology that could appease the families of the victims. I hope we all somehow turn this mourning into a spark of peaceful revolution of change in Philippines.」
不單從這名菲律賓網民,從其他菲國網民中的留言亦可看到「I feel ashamed of my country..(我為我的國家感到羞慚)」﹑「I must admit that we have a very corrupted police force which only knows how to show off their guns, but could barely do anything in situation like this. (我必須承認我們擁有一支貪污腐化極為嚴重的警察部隊,他們只懂得炫耀他們的槍械,但遇上這些突發情況,卻什麼也做不到)」
但與之相反的香港網民,卻留下如此留言:「All Fiilippino pigs! fxxk u all! stupid country! stupid people!」﹑「Rubbish Filippinos!」﹑「We will fire all the Fillipinos, u fxxker go back to your country of servant!」,拙拙逼人。雖然有好心港人亦留言叫網民冷靜,別將個別事例伸延至民族仇恨,卻通常這些留言神速煙滅,為之忽視。
「hey bro thnx for being brave n frank to point out the very truth of the incident, we would have probably had no idea on the true scene behind the officially controlled cameras. I mean, well, I personally admired yr apology on behalf of yr nation, it is of course not reali the responsibility of yr own, but still it is very nice to see that. The incident has brought abt plenty of anti-Filippino feelings here across the internet in HK, which is... quite unavoidable.
but I myself dont indeed giv a shit on nationalism. It is the fault of the strategy of the Manila police force, which is witnessed by the globe obviously, but not necessarily the Filippino race. I hope this incident could reali arouse attention on yr country's security, n make the lost of those lives a bit more..... valuable. hope the victims could R.I.P.
Man. A death of couple of our own people doesnt mean any rational explanation for the extension into racist n nationalism」
