T-Mac + Kobe + KG + TD + Yao ---> tallest line-up in history!!!
Penny + MJ + Hill + Pippen + Shaq ---> My all-time favorite lineup!!!

Personally, I think 2005 West is just one of the best line-up in 10 years.  Only the 1996 East can have a match featuring with Penny + MJ + Hill + Pippen +Shaq.

The match up will be

Yao VS Shaq
TD VS Hill
KG VS Pippen
MJ VS Kobe
Penny VS T-Mac

Remember, Shaq is not that BIG in 96'.  Rodman has no problem playing 1 on 1 against him in the 96' eastern conference final, (and simply took him out of the game) so I think Yao can handle the 96' Shaq.

T-Mac and Kobe are just the mirror of Penny and MJ, but of course, the tag team of Penny and MJ can overcome T-Mac and Kobe (slightly...remaining 98' allstar where Kobe has answer for every MJ's moves and he has almost stole the show. Kobe was end up on the bench playing MJ  (Ma Jong) in the 4th quarter, well that's NBA).

Pippen, as one of the best defender in history, should be able to defend KG, but not offensively, so it will be a tie.  Therefore, the remaining will be Hill against TD.  Since I am never a fans of Hill, I may underplay him and I will vote for TD, and the West.

What do you guys think?

sorry, the best starting lineup in NBA history should be in 1992 all-star in West.....

David Robinson
Karl Malone
Chris Mullin
Clyde Drexler
Magic Johnson

5 Dream Team I memebers were in the starting lineup.
Clyde Drexler and Magic Johnson (starting backcourt) gave you 47 points, 14 rebounds, 14 assists and Magic Johnson shot 3 back-to-back 3 pointers in the last mins. (guarded by Jordan and Isiah Thomas)
and the West boom East 153-113!!

this should be the dream West team... the dream west team is not the one in this year.. sorry about it....

now this is a really really really SICK lineup, if i remember right mullin also a really good 3pts shooter

actually i think u both right, bro wai214 think this yrs west lineup is the best in 10 yrs, and i agree with him,
and bro brightlee lineup is at 1992, so it kind of not in the 10 year range
but the 1992 lineup is better than this year, my all time favor playing PG

yes, I was shocked when I watched that all-star game in 1992 (this is the first NBA all-star game I watched it in my life....)
and these 5 were really big.... .. (yes not the tallest, but really big)
Magic, 6"9'
Drexler, 6"7'
Mullin, 6"7'
Malone. 6'9
Robinson, 7'1'

and these guys.. can play slams, fast break, 3 pts.... midrange (Robinson, Malone,....)
that's a horrible team I have seen so far in my life. (of cos except Dream Team I)

if we say about anylife for West in this 10 yrs, yes, this year is the best starting lineup.. but poor them.. they lost to East....

haha
i'm very very happy!!!
(coz u guys should know by now that i a fan of the EAST and carter)(haha)

anyway...
umm...
that 92 west lineup...is...as ticat said....SICK....wow....i didn't watch ball back then...
but...it's just too scary to see all those 5 guys on the someteam at once...
LOW B....

I can find out that game now (1992).. downloading in this moment!!!!!!

hey guys upload it once you have it!!!!
Thanks in advance...

but I just think the West is not for real...look at the minutes TD 16mins, Yao and T-Mac 24 a piece...

its more like a show than a game...everyone just want to save up the energy for the play-off hunting

well...how come you guys dont like the 96' lineup?  One of my all time favorite....

well...no offense, but MJ is not really guarding the other MJ...the game is more like a  farewell party for Magic

the East also has 4 DT I except Isiah who doesnt want to play along with MJ, so he was not elected into the team.

Guys lead make a virtual head to head comparsion...

truth.. east got 4 dream teams players..
but did u watch that match in reality??

if you watch it.. you will know why West can win so crazy...
you may say, Magic shoot 3-3 in 3 points in last 90s seconds, yes.. cos... the game was.... ... you know, West lead 30 points at that moment...

but I remember that.. West was crashing East early in the game........
how could I upload it for that game? 258Mb?!

em.. I am still downloading now...

thx man....

so what do you guys think about the 96' East all-star?
isn't cool?

by the way...do you guys think the 72 wins Chicago Bulls are the best team ever?

72 wins Bulls are one of the greatest teams, but not the best team I have seen so far.
I think the best one should be 69-13 Lakers in 72

but anyway, the formation is different....

96' East all-star is good... . it's not a bad team also, but my favourite.. it's still that 92 West
actually I record that 92 all-star game.. but my mum threw it away.. poor me.....

becoz you are the fans of Drexyler?

I am the fans of Penny....

I just thought that he was at the same level with Jordan when he was at his peak...

actually I am not the fans of Drexler ONLY...
(if you ask me some teams in 80s, to 90s, I could tell u, I was not only loving blazers... Cavs, lakers, Suns, yes, 3 white mens to be an all-star in same teams! Boston, Detroit....)

em.. Ilike to see in attacking.......
so that's why I love 80s or 90s NBA,.......
of cos, I love Magic, Larry Bird, David Robinson.... they were great, but unselfish......
Penny, he has the potential to be these type of players. but his injury.......
Oops....

the 96 East team is fun to watch and they r really good too
and the 72-10 Bulls team, yes they r really good and sure is one of the best ( let c when this record last )
i didnt do any research ATM, but if i remember right .... they have Harper, MJ, Pippen, Rodman and the centre ... Luc something ... and look at their lineup, like 4 of them is really good at Def ( and i think this is the main reason they have this amazing record ) about Off ... we also have MJ ( hey, 30ppg career ..... )  and pippen ( i think he is around 16ppg ) so u have like almost 50 already, and dont forget their bench ... Steve Kerr, Tony Kukor ( might spell it wrong )
also another fact ... i believe back in that time ... NBA not allow to play Zone, so .. Phil Jackson triangle off is really tough to Def when u have someone like MJ running the show ...
this is why they have a record 72-10 record ( i think at least )

in NBA, they didn't have Zone defense until 2000...
cos the isolation.. letting the score growing downwards since the bad boys in early 90s..
you may be asking why I love the bad boys teams... yes, they were the guys starting to play defense... but on the other sides.... they got so many good shooters, and non-selfish players in the team... Joe Dumars, Isiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, Aguirre, John Salley, James Edwards... etc ......

in 96 Bulls, they played great defense.. there's no doubt to say about it.. (see Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen and Michael Joradan were in all-defensive first team....)

that's the different formation as in 96 Bulls and 72 Lakers, cos the formation in the league is difference, the rules were different (cos that's no 3 pointers in NBA until 1980 season) it's hard to compare with these 2 teams...

yes, Bulls in 96 is one of the greatest so far, but maybe not the greatest...
cos to be honest, in West at that season, Suns got so many injury, Sonics got the best records in West and in Final.. but they didn't have center.. or a great bence.....Only Sam Perkins was the shooter on the bench.......

not only the Tri-Offense, the bulls has two 6'6 playing at the G, which is consider as big at that time, it creates size difference as well as conflict on the position becoz Harper, Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc are all multi-position players with height advantage...

Just my personal thinking...I just thought that the Sonics supposed to be swept by the Bulls...just the Bulls want to have the Champ at home, that's why they give two games away....what a crazy thinking...haha...

Sonics was the 1st place in the west for several years b4...but they just happened to be defeated in the first round...thats why you may think that the Sonics is not "that good"

the bulls is without a good C too...so Sam Perkins playing at the C does not created that much of problem...so I think the C is not a big issue

How come nobody here is talking about the Houston trade?
Houston has a promisiing pg on Mike James, as well as Baker and Norris from the Knicks...what do you guys think?

Hoston will be stronger at the guards....
but will be weaker at front line,
everyone knows it Baker is not the one he was after alcoholic habits.......
so.....

em.......... losing Traylor could be letting them in troubles.

they have also waived Hamilton...

when Baker was in Boston, he has handly numbers too...coz I have picked him in my roasters for the first 20 games last season...
