I totally agree with your opinion!
Even as an Arsenal fan, I'm not really a big supporter of our captain!
I can't see his importance in the midfiled last season and his departure is only a matter of time after last summer's 'drama'!
Indeed 20M Euro is a bit low but with considerion on his age and the buyer, that's not too bad already!
Vieira may be good in tackling and defence, but his attacking ability is crap! And Arsenal must have some great impact to go on another stage!
With the loss of Vieira and Edu in the same summer, this is really worrying. But at the same time, the amount of money received from this transfer is promising for other excellent signings!

Gilberto is good, but not good enough to fight against Lampard or Gerrard...
Arsenal must sign a real worldclass midefielder who can stand instantly and I'm really looking foward to see whom is going to the man!
If Vieira left last summer, I think van Bommel should be the one! But now, I think Ballack is a good choice!
