Perosnally, I think Pat is better than Roy, at least his temperment is better than Roy, but if you talk about team chemistry, there will be another story...

Chris Waddle was is in peak when he was about 30, cos he should got the UEFA championship with Marsaille that year (but the team is corrupted so they were banded by UEFA at the end)....
also, he was playing in Bryan Robson in England International, so it could be ok for team chemistry.

Remember he couldn't sign for Fabian Carini in the last mins as Inter ... paid more money to buy him?!

He spent 2 millions for the Germany GK,
but how many GK he could buy in last year in reality?!

He didn't have problem in the first year, so I think that's successful already.
Replacing a Legend, it's really tough for a player..........
also, he could transform from an OLD ENGLISH LINEUP... (Dixon, Bould, Keown, Adams, Winterburn) to a new, young starting 4 at the back... Well, last match (Lauren, 28, Toure 23, Senderos, 20, A. Cole 23)

he was one of the best strikers, but if you put him in Italian team.. sorry, i don't believe this would work, as he started to got injury when he played with AC Milan.. and then finished his career in there without playing many matches

yes GK is one of the weakest pts for Arsenal
but I don't know why they don't giva one more chance tp Stuart Taylor, I believe he could be developed to be a good GK soon if he has chance

but I am worried if you use 3-5-2, Cafu and Giggs will be exhausted so easily as they are really old in your choices.....

Normally, if you use 3-5-2 system, the Wing back should be young... cos they need to run so many times.. (cos in offense and defense....) 5-3-2 in defense, 3-5-2 in offense

so it could be a big problem if you play 2 120 mins game for this system.......

the lineup isn't bad.. a great idea.
just language problems may cause some miscommunications by the team

but generally, they will be fine

as Lliu said, it's too attactive... if you play 3-4-3 system, you should have some great defensive stopper(s) in midfields.
but you never have it...
secondly, language barrier would be a big problem..
