曼聯新後衛維迪奇開始隨隊訓練,有望出戰周日足總杯賽

維迪奇(Nemanja Vidic)自莫斯科斯巴達克(莫斯科斯巴達)加盟曼聯後，周四首次隨新東家訓練。

曼聯拒絕披露這位24歲後衛的轉會身價，但英格蘭報紙報導稱，轉會費為700萬英鎊(1,200萬美元)。

「這位球員簽下四年半合約，將效力曼聯至2010年6月，」曼聯在聲明中表示。

維迪奇有資格代表曼聯出戰周日對陣低級別球隊保頓艾爾賓(Burton Albion)的足總杯第三輪賽事。

主帥弗格森(費格遜)對曼聯電視台(MUTV)表示︰「好後衛是勝利的保證，這個小伙子天賦和水準都很不錯。」(完)

　　曼聯隊長加裡-尼維爾在新年的時候接受了曼聯官方的採訪，在採訪中，加裡-尼維爾表示說，曼聯的2006一定會比2005更輝煌的，在2005年他們有很多的遺憾，有失望，但是他們不會將這些帶到2006去。

足總盃鬥業餘隊 里奧遇倒霉舊袍

曼聯將於明晚足總盃作客業餘球隊伯頓，後衛里奧費迪南有機會在球場上與9年不見的故友重逢。身高僅5呎6吋的伯頓中場杜羅斯與里奧曾是英格蘭青年軍隊友，可是「同人唔同命」，里奧已貴為最高身價中堅，杜羅斯卻幾經兜轉淪落至業餘隊作戰。杜羅斯希望里奧不會視他如陌路﹕「我希望賽後有機會與他交換球衣吧﹗」

費格遜不肯定本月會收購中場

曼聯領隊費格遜表示，球會不肯定會否在一月收購一名新的中場球員。

維迪已經與曼聯簽約加盟，而艾華亦已落實加盟，曼聯將會再添一名中場球員。

而在週五，球會亦有三名球員外借到其他球會，包括伊高斯、添姆及米拿。

而費格遜也暗示，阿倫史密夫、奧沙及費查都可以幫輕史高斯。

「我是否會加入新球員﹖」費格遜向《天空體育》說。

「我們在陣容中做了不同的嘗試，始終堅尼離隊，我們的中場是少了球員。」

「阿倫史密夫做得很好，費查亦開始成長了，奧沙也不錯。」

「我對於現有球隊的球員數量認為足夠，到今日為止，我也覺得暫時已完成收購。我不會再討論會否加入新中場球員。」

費格遜也歡迎兩名新加盟的球員維迪和艾華。

「維迪現在仍進行緞練的工作，因為他在十一月二十二日便沒有上陣。」

「很難說他會何時首次上陣，要看看他的進度如何。」

「總之他不會在週日的足總杯或週三對布力般上陣。」

Rooney: The Best Is Yet To Come



In his 18 months at Old Trafford, Wayne Rooney has already turned raw potential into proven world class, but the 20-year-old has promised United fans the best is yet to come.

In an exclusive interview with United magazine, the official monthly mag dedicated to the Reds, Rooney reveals he’s enjoying his football more than ever since his move down the East Lancs Road from Everton.

“This feels like home,” he admitted. “I am really settled now, the lads and everyone have been great to me. That means I can concentrate on football and do my best on the pitch in every game.”

And according to him, his best has already got better.

“My awareness of what is going on around me has definitely got better, and I think I'm fitter now. I feel better on the pitch. I feel like I'm smiling more too, I want to win all the time, but I know you've got to enjoy yourself too.”
Rooney’s temperament has often been subject to scrutiny, but United’s new talisman believes his new surroundings have also helped control his temper.

“I have not been happy with what I have done in the past, the silly bookings I have picked up and that sending off in Spain. I want to stop that.”

And with Sir Alex keeping a close watch on his latest protégé, Rooney hopes to kickstart his medal collection.

“In my eyes (Sir Alex) is the greatest manager ever. He's won all those trophies. You learn something every day with him. He teaches you things and knows how to improve your game.

"He has made me realise how important winning is, he has installed that in to me. Win, win, win. You have to win all the time.”

Reds Land French Left-Back



Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed United are close to signing the French international full-back Patrice Evra.

The Reds boss told ManUtd.com today that the transfer of the 24 year-old is all but completed. If he passes a medical, he could make his debut as early as next Wednesday, when United face Blackburn at Ewood Park in the Carling Cup semi-final first leg.

"The deal is done and he'll have a medical on Monday," said Sir Alex. "We've known about him for quite a while and he's improved every year.

"He was a centre-forward as a kid, before moving out to the left wing. He's been playing at left-back for the last three years at Monaco and we've been watching him all season particularly since Gabi (Heinze) got his injury.

"I said a few weeks ago that we lacked options with the likes of Gabi and Quinton Fortune out for a while. It was therefore important to bring a left-sided player in.

"Patrice is naturally left-footed and very quick. His age is right and he gives us a different option at left-back."

United have been in negotiations with Evra's current club AS Monaco and he now looks set to become Fergie's second signing of the January transfer window.
Serbia & Montenegro international Nemanja Vidic had his work permit application approved this week and he completed his move from Spartak Moscow to Old Trafford.

The centre-half is currently undergoing a special fitness programme having not played since last November.

"He's only doing endurance work at the moment," confirmed Fergie. "He's following a programme with our fitness coach similar to the kind we use during pre-season.

"It's difficult to say when he'll be ready to play, it depends on how he comes through the next week or so. He won't play against either Burton or Blackburn.

"We'll have a better idea when we get him involved in the football part which will be next week sometime."
