i think Rio and Vidic should be alright for the milan clash at San Siro....

left back will definitely be Henize...as Evra will be suspended.....
and Hope that Scholes, Giggs And C7 will not get a yellow or red card....or else they cant play in the final if man U can get through to the final.....especially for Scholes, he has missed 99's final already....

Vidic looks fine...as he has been practised with the first team for more than 2 wks....not like Rio...but Man U has no choice...as there are only 5 defenders available on wednesday...either one of them has to be a starter....

Defenders Vidic and Ferdinand travel to Italy

Defensive duo Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand both flew out to Milan on Tuesday morning, with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson still to decide whether to name them in his Champions League semi-final line-up.

Three men: Heinze, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes - who famously missed the 1999 Champions League final - are one caution away from a ban, although Ferguson will hope the trio remain fully focused on steering United to what would be only their third European Cup final.

Twice before, in 1958 and 1969, United have fallen to Milan at this stage of the competition.

Ferguson himself has suffered semi-final defeats against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.

But, a better statistic for United followers is that their club have not lost a European tie after winning the first leg since 1985 and have never done so under Ferguson.

Pique set for OT return

United defender Gerard Pique, who has excelled during a loan spell with Real Zaragaoza this season, will be back at Old Trafford next term.

The 20-year-old Catalan centre-half has enjoyed a year-long loan spell in La Liga but, despite interest in a permanent move from the Spanish club, Sir Alex Ferguson plans to bring the highly-rated former Barcelona defender back to Manchester.

The Reds boss will travel to Spain to see Zaragoza take on Racing Santander at La Romareda stadium before meeting with Pique to filter-004 his plans for next season.

It means Sir Alex is unlikely to be watching Chelsea’s match against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. Should United win against Manchester City on Saturday, the Reds will be eight points clear and would leave Jose Mourinho’s side needing to beat the Gunners to stay in the title race.

“I don’t know if I’ll be watching the game,” said the boss. “I will probably be in Zaragoza on Sunday.

“I promised I would go and see [Gerard] Pique play. We are bringing him back next season so I want to sit down and have a chat with him.”
