for the preliminary interview:

% R, I2 m( X1 O! B0 Rthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......; S# f- `& J& q3 s

it's divided into 2 sections,8 i" {" \* ^& Y/ F; ?, i
1 is impromptu talk/ A( V+ {' S. a8 i8 N$ \: X  d
another is group discusion" q  L* v" T' A. O4 t4 r
( r! L! h2 Q; b0 }3 _; ^; z3 ~, P
all conducted in english" P! y2 m1 O1 q& H/ [& t

1 v: j: q# d/ qimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare8 J/ b" J  d4 E5 K2 ^

R$ j* pgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion  {+ r0 D" I, {; d

1 E0 ?4 M, F& }5 F0 H/ o: H4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
